Prof. Dr Andrew J. Martin, Scientia Professor and Professor of Educational Psychology, University of New South Wales (Australia)

Andrew Martin (H-Index: 107), PhD, is Scientia Professor and Professor of Educational Psychology in the School of Education at the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is also Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Education at the University of Oxford, Fellow of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), and Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA). Andrew is recognized for his research on student motivation, engagement, learning, and achievement. He has a Google h-index > 100 and in latest Stanford/Elsevier rankings of Scopus-based citations (Ioannidis, 2024), Andrew listed in the Top 25 of the world’s 95,000+ authors indexed in Education. He also listed Top 5 in the latest 5-Yearly International Rankings of the Most Published Educational Psychologists (Fong et al., 2022). Prof. Dr. CHUNG Kien Hoa Kevin, The Education University of Hong Kong (China), https://www.eduhk.hk/en/experts/professor-chung-kien-hoa-kevin   

Kevin Kien Hoa Chung (H-index: 45), is the President of the Association for Reading and Writing in Asia (ARWA) from 2024 to 2026, and a Research Grants Council (RGC) member of the Humanities and Social Sciences Panel (General Research Fund) and Other Funding Schemes for Individual Research from 2024 to 2026. Kevin has more than 20 years of academic leadership experience, curriculum development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and fundraising for universities. He was listed among the world’s top 2% of scientists by Stanford University in 2019, 2020, and 2023. He published more than 200 academic outputs and  developed more than 20 standardized assessment tests for psychologists and teachers to identify children and adolescents with dyslexia in Chinese and English, for example, The Hong Kong Test of Specific Learning Difficulties in Reading and Writing for Junior Secondary School Students [HKT-JS(II)] and The Hong Kong Test of English Reading and Writing for Junior Primary School Students (Primary 2 and 3) (HKT-PE(J)). These assessment batteries are the first standardized Chinese and English for learning difficulties worldwide.

Kevin was the head of two departments (HoD), the Department of Early Childhood Education and the Department of Special Education and Counselling, and the first Associate Dean (R&D) in the Faculty of Education and Human Development. He developed and implemented 13 academic programs: MA in Educational Counselling, MSc in Educational Speech-Language Pathology and Learning Disabilities, MA in Child and Family Education, MA in Teaching (Specialization: Early Childhood Education and Family Studies), two 4-year top-up BEd in ECE (Hons), PGDE (ECE), Diploma (ECE) and five Professional Development Programs (PDP). He redeveloped and implemented HD (ECE) with 7 SEN courses, an English stream, and a 3-year top-up BEd in ECE (Hons) with an English stream. All HD graduates are qualified to work in special care centres. He also raised funds from private foundations to set up student scholarships and prizes for different academic programs.

Gabriele Schrüfer, a distinguished academic in Geography Education, has been holding the Chair of Didactics of Geography at the University of Bayreuth since March 2020 at the University of Bayreuth (Faculty of Biology, Chemistry & Geosciences) since April 2020. Her research examines how geography teaching can equip learners for a complex global world—emphasizing sustainability, global and intercultural learning, with a special focus on Africa and digital-age pedagogy. In addition to numerous research projects, she has been offering teacher training in these areas for many years. Prior to her current role, Prof. Schrüfer held a  professorship at Münster University, serving also as a managing director at the Institute of Geography Didactics at the University of Münster. 

 

Prof. Dr. Johnny A. Ching, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (Philippines) 

Dr. JOHNNY A. CHING is a Professor of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas under the Biological Sciences Department since 1996. He was appointed Chair of the Department in 1998-1999 and in 2009-2011, Associate Dean in 2011-2012 and Dean of the College of Science and Computer Studies in 2012 to 2019 and as Director of the University Research Office from 2019-2023. Currently, Dr. Ching is the Asst. Vice Chancellor for Research of DLSU-D. Recently, Dr. Ching was recognized as one of the Top 1000 Scientists in the Philippines by the AD Scientific Index, Scientists and University Rankings for two years, from 2021 and 2022. His research interests are in the fields of Plant Physiology, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Health.
