3rd   International Conference on Innovation in Learning Instruction 

and Teacher Education 

Theme: Digital transformation in Education: perception, action and prospect

Hanoi, 9th  – 10th  December 2023 

Background 

International Conference on Innovation in Learning Instruction and Teacher Education (ILITE) is a prestigious biannual event hosted by Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE, Vietnam), creating an international forum networking scholars, educators and policy-makers across the world to share our knowledge and look to the better future of education. The 1st edition held in December 2019 under the theme “Competency-based Learning and Teacher education was co-organized with Southern Cross University (Australia). The theme of the 2021 ILITE Conference was Innovation for sustainable education in the changing context. This 2nd edition was honorly co-organized with Cologne University, Bayreuth University, National Taiwan Normal University and UNESCO Chair in Reorienting Education towards Sustainability (York University, Canada). 

In December 2023, HNUE, with supports of Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, continues to host the 3rd edition of ILITE under the theme: “Digital transformation in Education: perception, action and prospect”. The Conference offers us a chance to share perceptions and perspectives on the digital transformation in education; innovations in school models and governance, learning contents, teaching methods and assessment (at all levels); and reform of pre- and in-service teacher education in the context of digital transformation. 

Topics

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

               - Perceptions and perspectives on digital transformation in education in the world;

               - Trends, opportunities, challenges and solutions for educational innovation in the digital era: modern learning content, teaching methods and techniques; competence of students and teachers; digital  competence and digital pedagogy;

               - Smart education, smart school and educational technology;

               - Digital transformation in modern school : Developing school curricula to develop student competence; educational coordination between family, school and society; internation, interculture and interdisciplinary in teaching; building schools for sustainable development;

               - Education management and teacher development policy in the context of digital transformation;

               - Digital transformation in applied psychology (Clinical psychology, school psychology...);

               - STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) from preschool to high schools;

               - Prospects of digital transformation in education.

 

Guidelines for abstract and full paper submission

-Papers must be original, unpublished works, and they must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. 

- All abstracts and full papers must be submitted in American English. If a paper is accepted for publication, but the English requires editing, it will be the authors’ responsibility to arrange this. 

- At the first stage, an abstract of max. 300 words (incl. main research purpose, methods, findings and significance) and a short bio (max. 100 words, 1paragraph) are required. Your abstract will undergo a double-blind peer review by the international scientific board after its receipt. 

- If your abstract is accepted, you will be invited to submit a full paper (see deadline below). 

- Full papers should address both theoretical issues and new research findings. Your paper should be compiled in the following order: 

  1. Title page; abstract; keywords (3-5 keywords) 
  2. Introduction to the research problem, research questions or research hypothesis. 
  3. Main content should include literature review, research methods, results and discussion 
  4. Conclusion 
  5. Acknowledgement 
  6. References (APA 7th edition style) 
  7. Font: Times New Roman, 12; Spacing: single (see attached Paper template) 
  8. Word limit: 4000 to 7000 words 
  • Full papers will go through a double-blind reviewing process and are expected to meet the scientific criteria of novelty and academic excellence. You may be asked to submit the revised paper before the stated deadline.
  • Full accepted papers will be selected for oral presentation.
  • The manuscript should be submitted as an MS Word document in .docx or doc format (not as a PDF format).  
  • Abstracts and papers can be submitted online via the ILITE website: ilite.hnue.edu.vn or emailed to the organizer at  hoithao.ilite@hnue.edu.vn

Publication 

Accepted papers will be considered for publication in the Conference proceeding (with ISBN) or SCOPUS/WoS indexed journals.

For each registered Guest, this fee is non-refundable. 

For multiple-authored papers, please note the fee is valid only for the corresponding author. Co-authors will be charged the a one-time ‘Conference Guest’ registration. The fees are non-refundable – even if  your paper is not selected for presentation or not included in the Conference proceeding. 

Authors of submitted papers need to register and pay Conference fees on or before the “Final Registration” deadline. Please note we cannot process full papers if the conference fee is not paid. If a paper is accepted for publication in Scopus/ISI indexed journals, the author may need to pay additional publication fees according to the requirements of each journal.
